with Fraunhofer technology defDetect inside

Now you too can benifit from the latest technology from the Fraunhofer Society. Our surface inspection tool attSurface integrates the latest adaptive testing concepts of the Fraunhofer IPA, defDetect., which is orientated towards the human ability to recognise irregularities even in unknown surfaces. During the analyses, a model of the surface structure is produced that ignores local faults. As opposed to conventional testing, faults are not detected as deviances from a given reference structure, but as a disturbance of the structure dominating the whole picture.

Surface testing is made easy in this way: Instead of manually defining threshold values in order to distinguish “good data“ from “bad data“, the system now automatically adapts to each individual test object.

The testing system is designed for the quality protection of a variety of technical and natural surfaces such as:
